High end design and finish
The design villa is designed with a great sense of light and space by Martijn Braunstahl of MTB Architects. The interior and exterior spaces blend in perfect harmony in the design. The high frames and vide ensure a spectacular entrance. The ceiling height in the living room is approximately three meters and in the atmospheric vide no less than approximately six meters. The high industrial steel frame at the entrance, the flattened concrete heated floors, the unique handmade walnut Z-stairs, the electrically operated ventilated awnings, the custom-made kitchen with Gaggenau appliances; they are all of a rare high quality. The high-end finish, performed by passionate Dutch craftsmen who belong to the absolute top in their field, makes this a unique and timeless object.
On the ground floor (81m2), the kitchen and living room blend seamlessly. The spacious, multifunctional storage/utility room is accessible via the kitchen, the water and the driveway. On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms, a multifunctional room with terrace, a high-end bathroom and a washing/drying room. On the second floor there is room for the master bedroom with its own sink, walk-in shower, separate toilet and walk-in closet. From the master bedroom you have access to the spacious roof terrace (approx. 38m2) with an unobstructed view from Amsterdam all the way over the IJsselmeer.
Spacious outdoor spaces and views
You reach your house via a driveway from the Schokkerjachtdijk. There is space for two cars on private property, adjacent to the spacious garden (approx. 90m2) on the Southeast. The covered water terrace (approx. 16m2) at the rear is equipped with a swimming ladder and bollards and offers a place for a sloop under or at the terrace. On the first floor you will find a balcony. On the second floor a large roof terrace has been laid out with an unobstructed view over water and park towards the East, South and West. The North side has a low-maintenance green roof.
The construction of the surrounding green will start on November 4th
The villa is now on a temporary construction road. At the beginning of November the East district starts with the redesign of the area. This is expected to take two months. The construction road is being replaced by public green areas. A birch hedge is planted around the garden. Trees and shrubs are planted in greenery (see drawing). From the Schokkerjachtdijk there will be a driveway to the villa and the immediately adjacent villa at number 15. In the final situation there is approximately 350m2 of public green space around your plot of 214m2.
You enter through the six-meter high hall, with as a playful detail a high inner window to the first floor. In the hall you will find the doors to the toilet and meter cupboard. Via the industrial steel frame you reach the high part of the living room, with the Z-staircase leading to the first floor immediately after entering. The solid walnut stair sculptures were designed and made by hand by stair artist Jakkoo van Asten. These stairs run through the entire home as a beautifully connecting style element.
At the front the living room is adjacent to the tiled garden terrace via a large sliding door. The ideal place for breakfast in the morning or lunch in the early afternoon. At the rear, the living room continues above the water, with windows all around and a sliding window on the water. Here you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun all year round while watching the swans on the water or feeding the ducks.
From the living room you are immediately in the open kitchen. This is made by a furniture maker from solid high-gloss walnut. The equipment is of the highest level. Gaggenau combi-steam oven and combi microwave, Bora induction stove with downdraft extraction system. The fridge, freezer and dishwasher are the top-line from Siemens.
Through the sliding door in the kitchen you reach the covered terrace at the rear. This terrace with stainless steel swimming ladder floats above the water and has sun from noon to sunset. A low sloop can be placed under the terrace. Stainless steel bollards are already mounted on the terrace for laying your yacht alongside. From here you can sail to the Markermeer in 15 minutes!
Behind the kitchen is the multifunctional storage room (can also serve as a utility room, studio or practice room) with double sliding glass doors to both the garden and waterfront. So you can easily store your surfboard, jet ski or motorcycle here.
Via the stairs you reach the open multipurpose room (approx. 18m2) first. With a view of the garden and the Markermeer on one side and on the other side access to a balcony. This space borders the vide via a balustrade and is therefore in contact with the living room. This space can function beautifully as an office or as a television/hobby room.
Through the corridor on the first floor you reach two bedrooms with parquet flooring and underfloor heating. All other rooms have heated, polished concrete floors. The large bedroom windows offer a view of the water at the rear of the house.
At the end of the corridor you will find the modern and bright bathroom with toilet, rain shower, freestanding bath with waterfall tap, handmade bathroom furniture of solid high-gloss walnut with double riverstone sinks and waterfall faucets. Playful detail: The window offers privacy while you watch the view over the Markermeer through the void.
In the hallway, under the stairs to the second floor, there is a fixed cupboard for the washing machine and dryer.
Landing, access to the roof terrace, master bedroom with walk-in closet (approx. 22m2). The double doors lead to the roof terrace from where a beautiful view over the Markermeer and the rustic ships on the Bert Haanstrakade.
